This collection highlights student growth in observational drawing through exploration of value, color relationships, realism, and composition. Students build technical confidence working with graphite and colored pencil while learning methods such as the grid system to strengthen proportion and visual accuracy. Students learn to engage the right side of their brains and draw what they see, not what they think they see.. Projects combine structured skill-building with opportunities for personal subject matter and student voice.,

TIME BASED MEDIUMS

This collection highlights student exploration of movement, storytelling, and visual sequencing through digital tools. Guided by the 12 Principles of Animation, students learn foundational concepts such as timing, spacing, squash and stretch, and anticipation. They also develop an understanding of camera angles and composition as they design original characters and create short animated sequences.

Projects are structured to build technical skill first, allowing students to gain confidence before applying those skills to expressive, narrative-driven work.

Students develop technical confidence through structured skill-building projects while exploring creative choices that reflect their personal interests and perspectives. As students progress, projects encourage independence, experimentation, and thoughtful communication of ideas through digital media.

Computer Graphics 2

darkroom photography

Students learn to work with single-lens reflex cameras, develop black-and-white film, and create prints using enlargers in the darkroom. Emphasis is placed on understanding exposure, composition, and tonal range while building confidence through hands-on practice.

Through structured assignments and guided critique, students strengthen their technical craft and begin making intentional choices in their image-making. The darkroom process encourages patience, observation, and a deeper understanding of photography as both art and craft.

3-DIMENSIONAL DESIGN

Students explore form, function, and spatial problem-solving through introductory modeling and 3D printing projects. Emphasis is placed on understanding structure, scale, and intentional design choices as students translate ideas from sketch to digital model to physical object.

Projects balance technical skill-building with creative exploration, encouraging students to think critically about how objects exist in space. Through revision, students develop confidence in digital modeling tools and a deeper understanding of three-dimensional form.
